Holy Spirit, give us a lens of revelation as we lift our eyes to Heaven, where our help comes from. We are so thankful that You know our thoughts, our emotions, and our struggles. How comforting it is to know that Your precious Son, Jesus, walked through the same trials and temptations that we are enduring in this very moment. Help us as we walk through the deep waters of temptation. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13, NIVįather, we come to You acknowledging that we need Your strength and mercy. And God is faithful he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. We experience this through in-person interaction, conversation, and deep connection, and can only be surfaced by being with one another in spirit, mind, and body, and loving God and our neighbor, as ourselves. Just like Adam and Eve, among so many partnerships in scripture, we were created in the image of God for community with one another. Over the past year and a half, as a world, we have stayed connected through online resources, such as facetime and Zoom meetings, but nothing can replace gathering in person. Thus, as we thrive in community, discipleship, and fellowship, we strengthen one another through encouragement, correction, and bearing one another’s burdens. While each of us has individual talents and callings, the Church was intended to function best as a whole. Help us to be Your vessels of truth, love, and mercy as we work together, as one, in the Body of Christ.

Heavenly Father, thank you for this group of believers that You have brought together in this very moment so that we may grow with one another as we learn about You. “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25, NIV Opening Prayer for the Renewing of Our Minds God is looking for ordinary men and women who will pray for rain, who will pray the right prayer at the right time in the right way for the right reason, who will pray “Change me,” “Search me,” “Wake me,” “Break me,” and “Send me.Opening Prayers for Meetings & Bible Studies The final crisis we must be most concerned about is the crisis of self and surrender to the Holy Spirit. How should believers pray in the last hours of earth’s history? It’s time to go deep in prayer-not solely for more power to do great things for God in ministry but for more humility to allow God to execute great exploits of grace and transformation in our own hearts.

Am I really born again? Do I have a real relationship or merely religion? Do I have enough oil in my spiritual lamp?Ĭlosing Prayers helps you answer these questions and more. Have you ever wondered why, after all the prayer conferences and prayer initiatives over the years, we haven’t seen revival yet? At a time when believers need to be most powerful spiritually, we seem to be the weakest. But the real crisis is in our hearts-not the hearts of sinners but of saints! The rapid movements unfolding in our world today have revealed the magnitude of the crisis.
